Here is where you describe how you will get to freedom.  What route do you hope to take to get to the Free States and then on to Canada?  Who is helping you get there?  How will you get there without being noticed?

This is where you will introduce yourself.  Who are you?  How old are you?  What state are you from?  What work did you do?  What preparations do you need to make to get ready to escape?

Your Quest Begins

Hello everyone!

You have quite a journey ahead of you!  Very soon we will begin our quest (which is actually a WebQuest) to get ourselves out of slavery.  When the quest begins, you are an unhappy slave, either working in the fields on the plantation or within the plantation itself.  It is your choice what your job is, why you want to leave your post as a slave, how you plan to escape, where you go, and how you get there.  Some research will be involved to help you get to your final destination.  You will also be writing in your journal as you begin your journey all the way through to freedom.  You will find obstacles in your path that you must learn and research how to overcome.  Good luck to each and every one of you as you begin your journey.
